Kings Ready for GDFL Return
30 Dec 2015 by Devin Richardson
New Orleans, LA – The Crescent City Kings franchise is ready to return to the Gridiron Developmental Football League(GDFL). League CEO Charles Thompson has assured the Kings of the upward direction and future of the nation’s premier developmental league. The league has made several new additions and Kings Vice-Chairman Devin Richardson has been elevated to the position of league commissioner. The prospects for 2016 are looking good for the GDFL’s rising franchise based in New Orleans.
The platform offered by the GDFL is unrivaled and innovative. The continual league progression is a strong motivating factor in keeping the Crescent City Kings home in the GDFL. The Crescent City Kings aspire to be a pilot franchise for player development and the GDFL has positioned itself as a leader for this cause. CEO Thompson has assembled a boatload of talent throughout the United States. The league is represented by perennial powerhouses located in various parts of the country. The focus has been renewed and with a little more experience the Kings expect to resemble other top tier franchises found in the GDFL.
The Kings are more than ready. AAA Minor League Football Head Coach Frederick Washington said, “The competition is just too good to walk away from and we clearly have unfinished business.” Finishing within three points of a GDFL National Championship has infused the franchise with a new energy and motivation. The players can already be found on practice fields and weight rooms throughout metropolitan New Orleans area. To say, the Kings are ready to get back to work, would be incorrect. The more accurate statement would be the Kings never ended last season. From the executives to the coaches and players, the push is on to finish what the 2015 team started.
